Parvin D. Syal

Dr. Parvin D. Syal was born in Nairobi, Kenya to parents who migrated there from India. After his high school, Syal traveled in India and had a stint at teaching at the Delamere Boys’ School in Nairobi before medical studies at the University of Nairobi.


His post graduate training was in St. Helens, England where he pursued Internal Medicine under a program that was part of the Liverpool University. He followed further training at the Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena when he moved to California.


Thereafter, he practiced in Glendale prior to shifting gears and taking on clinical research with the National Research Institute in Los Angeles, as well as practicing obesity medicine in Simi Valley, California.
